The Upward Journey is about being in relationship with God. It is not an accident that we are here. We were put here for a purpose which was determined before our birth. Long before we decided to speak God determined the tone of our voices, our facial features, our fingerprints and even the purposes we should have in our lives. We were created to know God and in knowing him we learn our origin, identity, purpose and destiny. Without knowing God, nothing else in life makes sense.

The Scripture says that God has placed eternity in the heart of every person. At the very core of each of us is the desire to know and to be known. We want to give our life to something and for someone bigger than ourselves. We believe that Jesus had a lot to say about this; therefore, we give special attention to him and his teachings. We don’t have it all figured out, but we do know that he reveals himself to those who are open to learning. Therefore, we want to provide spaces where spiritual seekers can ask questions, voice concerns, disbeliefs or simply be silent learners.
